Join the Yacht Club Puget Sound offers one of the best boating locations in the entire United States and Port Townsend is the ideal location in the Puget Sound area. From Port Townsend you can cruise to Seattle WA, Victoria BC, Vancouver BC, the San Juan Islands in the US, or the Gulf Islands in Canada, in an easy day trip. Port Townsend is also an ideal jumping off point for trips up the Inside Passage to Alaska, or southward to Tacoma or Olympia WA, or west, through the Straits of Juan De Fuca to the Pacific and southward to Oregon, California, and Mexico. The Port Townsend Yacht Club (PTYC) is looking for new members. The advantages of membership include the many PTYC sponsored events and cruises, as well as the Reciprocal Agreements with other Yacht Clubs in the Pacific Northwest. If you are living in the Port Townsend area, or are planning on spending a cruising season in the area, you should check us out.
